WORDS ALONE?

Mark 6:34 NIV: When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things.

There is an expression I heard once, that goes something like this: “People don´t care how much you know; they want to know how much you care.” And they are watching us too; watching to see how much we truly care. Unfortunately, it is so very easy to forget the people in the midst of the mission; and to neglect the needs while proclaiming the message. Many have been the victims of drive-by-witnessing, soon left alone with their unmet needs. The words, deeds, and motives of Jesus were never without compassion. His compassion drove His actions as He followed the direction of His Father´s will. He not only taught the people, but He cared for them as well. In our desires to share Jesus with the world, it is so very important that the gospel is communicated much more loudly with our actions–than with our words alone.
